SCHOLARSHIPS AND EDUCATIONAL GRANTS

SCHOLARSHIPS & EDUCATIONAL GRANTS

Introduction

The College is committed to enabling the development of our members through education and professional development activities.

Eligibility

The College member applying for the scholarship or grant must have been a financial member for at least 12 months prior to the grant application.

Scholarships and Grants are not available to Student or Volunteer members.

All applications must be submitted no later than six weeks prior to the course start date.

Scholarships available

Conference Attendance Scholarship

This scholarship is available for applicants who wish to attend a conference relevant to the field of paramedicine. The maximum amount available per applicant is $600 for attendance or $1200 for attendance and presentation.

Professional Development Scholarship

This scholarship is available for applicants who wish to expand their knowledge in a non- academic discipline relevant to the field of paramedicine. Examples of professional development courses include, but are not limited to, Cert IV, roping courses, USAR courses etc. The maximum amount per applicant is $300.

Educational / Academic Advancement Scholarship – Postgraduate study only

This scholarship is available for applicants to assist with academic pursuits relevant to the field of paramedicine. Examples of such pursuits include but are not limited to postgraduate course fees etc. The maximum amount per applicant is $750.

Indigenous / Rural Health Scholarship

This scholarship is available for applicants who are keen to expand their knowledge and encourage participation in these two areas of paramedicine. Examples of such activities are diverse and may involve coursework, seminars, working groups or actual work experience in these areas. The maximum amount available per applicant is $750.

Frontline Management Scholarship

This scholarship is available for applicants wishing to expand their knowledge in frontline management in the field of paramedicine. Examples of such activities are diverse and may include attendance at workshops, coursework or other education and training initiatives. The maximum amount available per applicant is $750.

 

Funding and reporting requirements

The applicant must provide the College with a report on the educational outcomes they have achieved in the form of a 500 word summary.

If the scholarship is to present at a conference, then ANZCP must be acknowledged as supporting the applicant. Permission must be sought from the ANZCP before using the ANZCP logo on any article or presentation.
