The College is pleased to present an enhanced Scholarships and Research Grants program. The new program offers more categories and a larger range of scholarship and grant opportunities for all members. The program is supported by a new set of rules and guidelines for applicants wishing to apply for funding to assist with the wide range of costs associated with developing professionally.

The program is supported by a new set of rules and guidelines for applicants wishing to apply for funding to assist with research to benefit the profession.

You must be a current, financial member of ANZCP to apply for Scholarships or Grants

The following information is required for all research grant applications:

  • Research proposal
  • Evidence of enrolment in PhD / Masters or study/role requiring research
  • Ethics approval of your academic institution
  • Declaration about whether study/research is currently funded (in part or whole) by any other grant or scholarship program
  • The research scholarship amount being requested and reason for this amount
  • Any in-kind support required from the College (promotion of research to attract participants, communication to College members, prizes for involvement in research etc)
  • Any other relevant information to assist a decision on your application

Note: Research grants are used to cover the cost of research or study, not for living expenses etc while undertaking research.

Research Grants Available

Mackay Fund Research Grant
This grant is available on a yearly basis for research carried out in out-of-hospital practice in regional, remote or rural areas of Australia or New Zealand.
The maximum amount available per year is $5000.

ANZCP Research Grant
This grant is available for applicants undertaking research in the field of paramedicine.
The maximum amount available per applicant is $5000.

Applications for research scholarships are rigorous and competitive.
