College Members Approve New Constitution

The College takes next step to a bright Future The Extraordinary General Meeting was held in Sydney on the 23rd September where the Colleges’ Members voted to approve the new Constitution. What does this mean for the College? This Constitution change has now instigated the requirement for skills based Board of Directors, with the 6 Director Roles (3 Members and 3 Non Members) to be voted on at the AGM in December, This move to a skill based Board is the culmination of 12 months of work to ensure the success of the College into the future and to achieve our vision of Advancing paramedicine through professional development, education and industry leadership. “The Board and Management have been excited about this change for sometime and it is encouraging that the Members too, have embraced our vision for the future of the College” stated Chair Marty Nichols. The outgoing Board of Directors appointed an Interim Board of Marty Nichols, Clare Beech, Michael Smith and Jae Redden, which came into effect at the passing of the new Constitution. The Interim Board will be in place until Saturday 2nd December, when members will vote on all 6 Director roles. Interested in becoming a Director of the College - see detail by clicking here
