Manager, Aviation Health Programs

Your new role will see you provide oversight and management of key initiatives within the Qantas Medical Team as well as the management of program processes (risk issues, change control, resource management etc), and the administration of various office and program support activities (meeting preparation and scheduling, document preparation).

In this role you will be responsible for; working with the project manager (PM) in the coordination, development and delivery of key initiatives related to the passenger health projects within the Qantas Aviation Medical Team as scheduled for 2019. In addition to this you will be working closely with the project manager and team members across the business and developing new tools/procedures to support Programs and Projects. You will be assisting PMs with development and control Program and Project Issues and Risk consolidation and tracking.

The Projects that you will be involved in: • Implementation and rollout of new defibrillators for ground locations and for mainline aircraft • Review and implementation of changes to the aircraft emergency medical kits • Development of a mini medical kit for all aircraft • Review and re-development of the aviation medicine training programmes across the Groups various airlines • Development and promotion of Restart a Heart Day for the Qantas Group promoting CPR and use of a defibrillator • Various other initiatives regarding passenger health improvement projects as required

To be successful you will possess: • Tertiary qualification or certification in a project/program related discipline is required • Experience working in the healthcare field, including facilitation in medical related topics • Experience liaising with senior stakeholders and leadership teams • Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail • Sound business acumen including meeting facilitation and minute taking
