• $92,248 - $109,258 FTE per annum + 17% superannuation

The La Trobe Rural Health School is the largest rural health school in Australia and is representated at all four regional campuses of the University. The School’s recently re-accredited Paramedicine Program is based in Bendigo and prepares graduates for a full range of paramedicine roles both now and into the future. This innovative course equips student with a diverse skillset that encompasses emergency, extended care and community paramedicine.

The course has a unique embedded honours component that provides students with a paramedic research pathway option. The course has a strong reputation among industry stakeholders and current students and provides a high quality educational experience with small staff to student ratios.

About the positions

Teaching & Research Academic

A Level B teaching and research academic is expected to develop curriculum, and teach and undertake research or other scholarly work relevant to the development of the discipline. You will contribute to the University’s commitment to high-quality student learning experiences and strong engagement with our industry partners and communities.

To be considered for this position, you will be able to demonstrate effectiveness in teaching and curriculum development. You will also have evidence of high quality research and a demonstrated ability to supervise, or co-supervise research students.

Teaching Focused Academic

A Level B Teaching Focused academic is expected to develop curriculum, coordinate subjects, and teach and support students as they learn. In addition, you will also support the administrative functions of the discipline, as well as undertake scholarly work relevant to the development of learning and teaching.

To be considered for this position, you will be able to demonstrate effectiveness in teaching and the development of teaching materials. You will also have evidence of innovative initiatives undertaken that have improved the student or patient experience, as well as a demonstrated ability to engage with the scholarship of teaching and learning.
