This month the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority updated its website and advertised for Paramedic and community Directors on the inaugural Paramedicine Board of Australia (PBA), the Board who will be in charge of navigating us into a registered health profession.
From the documentation the PBA will have nine (9) directors, six (6) will be paramedics and three (3) will be community members. The three community members will be appointed from the list of applicants who have not been paramedics, whilst the six paramedic members will be selected from the paramedic applicants. One paramedic member will be appointed from each of the five major states, and the sixth paramedic from the smaller states and territories.
Applicants can provide letters of support from organisations such as ANZCP in support of their application. ANZCP may consider further persons for letters of support or nomination, and anyone considering applying should contact General Manager John Bruning on how that might occur. Contact email@example.com or 0419 419 085 by Monday 22nd May to be considered for letter of support or nomination.
The applications close Monday 29 May 2017, 5pm AEST; see the website for the application information, forms and finer details.
